Parker Bells

Parker Bells is a five-octave handbell ensemble founded in 1986. Parker Bells rehearse September through April on Monday evenings, 6:30-7:45PM. Although experience as a handbell musician is a plus, anyone with experience reading and performing music is welcome in this ensemble.  Membership is by audition.  All ages are welcome. If interested in joining the Parker Bells, please contact DeReau.

Warbington Chime Choir

Warbington Chimes is a great opportunity for new musicians to learn to read music and to gain experience making music in a group where independence is key.  Warbington is an intergenerational chime group, welcoming young and old, parents and children, to learn about playing in a chamber ensemble.  Warbington Chimes rehearse on Sundays, September through April, from 9:45-10:15AM in the Chime Room, and is open to children from 3rd grade on up, as well as adults of all ages. If interested in joining Warbington Chimes, please contact DeReau.

Beacon Bells

Beacon Bells, an ensemble for inexperienced musicians, is the initial opportunity to master bronze handbells. Beacon Bells were founded in 1983 and carry a long, strong tradition of handbells at First Unitarian Church, giving musicians and non-musicians of all experience levels a chance to jump into a wonderful chamber ensemble experience tailored to those who have never rung a bell before.

Although Beacon Bells is currently not meeting, we are forming a list of interested beginning bell ringers in the hopes of forming this ensemble as soon as it reaches adequate size.

If you are interested in joining a beginning bell ensemble, please contact DeReau to have your name placed on the list.
