Our youth program includes children in 7th-12th grades or comparable ages. We offer gatherings for both middle and high school youth. We meet from 10:30 – 11:45 a.m. on most Sundays during the church year.

7th-8th Grade (2022-23)

Coming of Age

Coming of Age is a year of discovery for our 7th and 8th graders. Through music, art, religious texts, and small group discussions, we invite our middle school youth to more deeply understand their own values and Unitarian Universalism. With the help of real-life interfaith testimonials from teenagers, our 7th and 8th graders are encouraged to reflect on many questions including, Who am I? Whom and what do I love? What gifts will I nurture within myself and share with others? These Sunday morning gatherings create a community of 7th and 8th graders who continue developing and trusting their own moral compass as they come of age.

9th-12th Grade High School Youth Group (2022-23)

YRUU

YRUU (Young Religious Unitarian Universalists) is our high school youth group. Collectively, we create a space in which youth are valued, respected, and where they can grow as individuals and as a community of like-minded and like-hearted young people. The year culminates in the Youth Service, an annual spring tradition in which YRUU leads all elements of the Sunday multigenerational worship service. Throughout their year together, our high school youth continue learning, individually and collectively, about the importance of living out their religious and ethical values in the world.

District Youth Conferences (or Cons)

District Conferences provide opportunities for youth to meet other leaders from Unitarian Universalist congregations regionally and nationally. These conferences build leadership skills and offer meaningful insights into the s  with the goal of building leadership skills. Youth return with a deeper understanding of who they are as Unitarian Universalists and how they want to be in the world.
