For March, we dedicate our offering to Girls Inc. Pacific Northwest in honor of Women’s History Month. Girls Inc. serves youth ages 6-18 across Portland, Seattle, and SW Washington in an affirming, pro-girl environment. Youth learn to value their whole selves, discover and develop their inherent strengths, and receive the support they need to navigate their challenges.
Girls Inc offers the Leadership Council as a space for young leaders in 8th-12th grade to explore their passions, engage in civic dialogue with peers about critical issues, meet local leaders, and develop advocacy skills such as public speaking and research. Leadership Council members use the power of their voice to create meaningful change within their own communities with the support of peers, Girls Inc. staff, and community partners.
