Give online through our giving homepage Vanco. To make a gift that is not designated for any purpose or program simply select “Donate” for a simple and straightforward way to give a gift to the church. And know that we are deeply appreciative.

For those who already have a PayPal account you can also direct funds to us through PayPal. Money given through PayPal will be designated as plate giving as part of our offertory, unless otherwise specified.

Cash

Cash can be dropped in the “For Office” boxes mounted to the walls in the Sanctuary lobby or in our Sunday plate collection basket during the offering. *Please note that unless cash is in a labeled envelope with your name and intent for the money these gifts are anonymous and we cannot provide a receipt for tax purposes or apply it to your pledge.

Direct Debit

For pledges: At no cost to you or the church, we will automatically deduct funds from your bank account (direct debit) according to your preferred schedule of monthly, quarterly, or annually. Just attach a voided check to your pledge form or mail one to the church at the following address:

Direct Debit withdrawals are made on the 20th of the each month for monthly payments and the 15th of March, June, September, and December for quarterly payments.

Donor-Advised Fund

Contact your advisor to initiate the process and make sure that funds are sent to First Unitarian Church of Portland (EIN 93-0406414) and not to the Foundation which is its own 501(c)3 intended for legacy giving.

In-Kind Gifts / Items

We happily accept some in-kind gifts (non-cash donation of goods or services, such as donated equipment, supplies, or professional expertise). Be sure to check with the office first about what we are able to accept by emailing our office here or by calling us at 503-228-6389.

Our Shower Project accepts lightly-worn clothing, new underwear, and individually-wrapped snack items. Other items may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, and questions can be emailed to the coordinator here.

*Please note: In accordance with IRS regulations, we are prohibited from estimating the value of in-kind donations.
