First Unitarian’s Trans Support Team is an action group of Trans individuals and allies. We are committed to being a welcoming village of support within our congregation and for Trans kin who are relocating to Portland from hostile states. Our efforts align with the mission of First Unitarian to provide Trans kin a safe haven in these times of extreme political persecution. Together, we work to uplift the urgency of support for Trans beloveds. Centering love calls us to help our congregation see the beauty and the vulnerability of Trans people and to invite them to welcome and support all who come to us at this increasingly perilous time.
