Monthly Theme: Gratitude
Sermon Topic:

Thank You
Walter Hawkins

Tragedies are common place,
all kinds of diseases people are slipping away;
‘Conomy’s down, people not getting ‘nough pay,
As for me, all I can say is:

thank You, Lord for all You’ve done for me.
It could’ve been me outdoors with no food,
and no clothes
Or, just alone without a friend,
Or, just another number with a tragic end.
But, you didn’t see fit to let none of these things be,
‘Cause ev’ryday of my life, Lord,
You keep on keeping me.
I wanna say thank You, Lord, for all You’ve done for me.

Folks without homes out in the streets,
And the drug habit some say they just can’t beat;
Muggers and robbers no place seems to be safe,
But, You’ve been my protection every step of the way,
I wanna say:

thank You, Lord for all You’ve done for me.

Thank You, Lord, for all You’ve done.
I wanna say thank You for Your love,
thank You for Your power,
Thank You for protection, every hour.

Thank You.

I am grateful for the things that You have done.
Yes, I’m grateful for the victories we’ve won.
I could go on and on and and on about Your works,
because I’m grateful, so grateful just to praise you, Lord.
Flowing from my heart are the issues of my heart,
It’s gratefulness.

Grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful,
grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful, gratefulness
is flowing from my heart.
