Music: Pietro Mascagni
Text: Traditional, then Giovanni Targioni-Tozzetti & Guido Menasci

Regina cæli, lætare, alleluia.
Quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia,
Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia.

Inneggiamo, il Signor non è morto.
Ei fulgente ha dischiuso l’avel,
inneggiamo al Signore risorto
oggi asceso alla gloria del Ciel!

TRANSLATION

Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia:
The Son whom you merited to bear, alleluia
Has risen, as He said, alleluia.

Rejoice! the Lord is not dead.
He brilliantly opened the grave,
let us sing praises to the risen Lord
today ascended to the glory of Heaven!
