Robert O. grew up in a devout Mormon family in Utah and left the Mormon Church after coming out as a gay man. He was drawn to First Unitarian by its friendly members and loving theology, and appreciates being part of a community where who he is and what he believes can fully belong together.
Robert enjoys art and bridge, and for many years was a long-distance runner; now, in his late eighties, he takes joy in walking instead. Attending First Unitarian and making friends among the members has become an important part of his life, and he looks forward to continuing to deepen those connections within the congregation.
