Quinn D.

Quinn first attended First Unitarian with their partner Ashley at the Easter service in 2025, shortly after arriving in Portland. From the moment they entered the sanctuary, Quinn felt swept up in the sound of the choir, the words of Reverend Alison’s sermon, and a deep sense of welcome and safety that has stayed with them since.

In their free time, Quinn loves reading, often juggling several books at once, along with gardening, yard work, camping, and hiking when the weather allows. Quinn and Ashley share a goal of visiting all the national parks, and Quinn especially values time outdoors on a sunny morning. They have also been working to reclaim attention from digital distractions and are thoughtful about the impact of technology on daily life. Quinn has already become involved in the Shower Project and hopes to continue, while also serving in ushering or welcome table roles and, over time, helping bridge connections across generations in the congregation.
