Photos and Gratitude about the Witness at ICE

Thank you for showing up for our neighbors at the Interfaith Witness at ICE yesterday. There were 175 people present at this kick-off event.  (Check out the photos below.)

When I say thank you for showing up, I mean all of you who:

  1. Made it to the action on Macadam. We estimate 100 of the attendees were from First Unitarian!
  2. Dropped a pebble with your prayers in the bowls in our Narthex on Sunday. We brought all of them with us.
  3. Surrounded us with your prayers on that day.
  4. Support our congregation with regular contributions. Your financial contributions allow us to have ministers, staff, and congregants; an Immigration Justice Action Group who are engaging in the work of advocacy and accompaniment on Macadam; and a building where we can meet, get organized, receive training, and gain inspiration.

It was meaningful to be able to gather with First United Methodist, Havurah Shalom, and other people of faith and goodwill as we shared our continuing resolve to counter the cruelty being shown to our immigrant neighbors by our current administration.

In faith,

Rev. Alison
