November 7: What You Need to Know About In-Person Worship

We will worship in the Sanctuary for the first time in over 18 months on November 7. Halleluiah!

Here are the things you need to know:

There will be ONE SERVICE at 11:00 a.m. Worship will also continue to be live-streamed. Family Worship will be live-streamed at 10 a.m.

Remember to set your CLOCKS BACK for the time change.

Enter at the DOORS on Main Street and the accessible door on 12th. Other doors will not be open.

RESERVATIONS will be required and will be checked before you can enter the building. Below is the link to make your reservation:

Only FULLY VACCINATED PERSONS can register and attend. Vaccination Records must be uploaded to make a reservation.

The Public Health Team has determined that a maximum of 200 PERSONS will be allowed in the sanctuary. Details about the Public Health Team analysis can be found here in The Safety Analysis section.

If reservation requests exceed 200 persons the reservation system will invite you to call the office to be put on a priority list for November 14’s service.

MASKS will be required. Congregants will be asked to DISTANCE themselves as they feel comfortable. Seats or rows will not be taped off.

SINGING will be allowed (masked) but there will not be a vocal choir this week.  Moving forward, choirs will sometimes sing in-person and sometimes by video. The Parker Bell Choir and the Quartet will be offering in-person music this Sunday.

There will be NO SOCIAL HOUR after the service.

PARK only in the lot across 12th Ave., or on the street.

DOWNTOWN has changed in 18 months. The church has far more houseless neighbors than before Covid. This is not unique to downtown, but may be a shock for some. It has always been good practice not to leave valuable articles visible in your car.

We are working to make this beginning of the return to the Sanctuary as safe and simple and satisfying as we can. These precautions and safety measures are new, however; and it is inevitable that there will be bumps on the road as we re-gather.

Please treat each other and our dedicated volunteers and staff not only with respect but with KINDNESS. Every Sunday is a good day to have THANK YOU in your heart and on your lips but especially this first Sunday of the rest of the life of First Unitarian.

Halleluiah!
