Emily C. (she/her) found her way to First Unitarian Portland while searching for a spiritual home centered on community and ethical growth rather than fixed beliefs. After her oldest child was born, she wanted a place where her family could connect and learn in shared values, which led them to the Religious Education program and the wider church community.
A West Coast native, Emily loves biking, beach trips, gardening, and brewing kombucha. She’s active in her neighborhood, and friends know her as a surprisingly skilled roller-skater. Life with two young kids keeps her busy, but she looks forward to joining more contemplative and social justice opportunities in the congregation as time allows.
