Eileen D is a long-time admirer of Unitarian Universalism, and First Unitarian Portland is the first community she has formally joined. She is deeply moved by the thought-provoking and heartfelt sermons delivered by the ministers, which resonate with her spiritual aspirations. Eileen is also drawn to the warmth of the staff and congregants she has met. A former English teacher and current writer, she is working on a novel. Living in downtown Portland, Eileen aims to regularly attend Sunday services and become an integral part of the community, seeking to grow as a more loving person in challenging times.
