Mission: To promote nonviolent civic engagement that strengthens democracy and condemns authoritarianism, faithfully living our UU values.
In pursuing these ends, we work to:
- Publicize opportunities for congregants to engage in nonviolent protest and pro-democracy actions.
- Train congregants in ways they can increase their knowledge and skills when taking action.
- Support local, state, and national efforts to protect and expand our democratic rights, including the right to vote.
- Educate the congregation about nonviolent ways to resist authoritarianism.
- Partner with other faith communities and civic organizations to build a broad-based movement.
Example actions we have taken:
- Rallies and marches
- Bridge brigade
- Post-card writing
