Parking & Transportation
As an urban church, we do not have any on-site parking, so finding a parking space when you join us for an event can sometimes be difficult. To help alleviate this problem, First Unitarian Church rents one parking lot for Monday-Thursday evenings and several lots on Sunday. To view the locations and hours of these lots, please click here.
A parking pass, available for $20 at the church office, must be displayed on your review mirror in order to utilize our lot on weekday evenings. Sunday parking in our lots is free and does not require a parking pass.
Parking pass rules are listed below:
- U-Park Lot is located at 1101 SW 12th Ave (across from the Salmon Street Sanctuary).
- The hours that the lot is available to members of First Church are:
6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sunday
Tags are required for the lot Monday-Thursday. On Sundays, all First Unitarian members may park in the lot without a tag. At no other times than the above stated may members of First Unitarian park in the lot.
- The lot may be used for church business only.
- On the days/times specified above, each car must have a numbered tag hanging from the rearview mirror. Not displaying the tag could result in the ticketing or towing of the car at the owner’s expense.
- This tag does not guarantee or reserve a parking spot. While a limited number of tags will be issued, the lot is first come, first serve.
- A fee of $20.00/year will help defray the cost of the tag, lot monitoring and rent. The tag is good for one church year (September-June). Renewal each year is required.
