SUMMARY:Supportive Housing Services (SHS) Conversation
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an honest\, values-based conversation about what’s working—and what still needs to change—in our region’s response to homelessness. \nAcross Multnomah\, Washington\, and Clackamas counties\, people are working hard to make progress on homelessness—but that progress isn’t always visible. These small-group conversations are designed to help bridge the gap between what the public sees and the real impact of the Supportive Housing Services (SHS) program. \nLaura Golino de Lovato is the Executive Director of Northwest Pilot Project (NWPP)\, a nonprofit organization providing housing assistance\, transportation\, and advocacy to very low-income seniors in Multnomah County. \nLed by Laura\, this conversation will offer a chance to: \n\nLearn how the SHS program is helping connect people to housing and supportive services\nHear real stories of progress and challenge from trusted local voices\nAsk questions and share your perspective in an honest\, respectful space\nLeave with a clearer understanding of the path forward\n\nWhether you’re concerned\, curious\, frustrated\, hopeful\, or all of the above\, you’re welcome to join the conversation. Event sponsored by COHHO (Committee on Hunger and Homelessness) and HereTogether Oregon.

SUMMARY:Music Ministry Transition Team Listening Meeting with Congregants
DESCRIPTION:Since its inception last summer\, the MMTT has been actively engaged in helping church leadership and the Interim Director of Music Ministries move our music program forward in support of the worship and communal life of our church. We’ve come to a point where we need to hear from congregants. We are scheduling three listening meetings\, with more to come. Our objective is to hear your thoughts about how the music program has been evolving so far\, and what you might envision for the future. \nOur first meeting will be with choir members\, bell ringers and other church musicians on Sunday\, March 23 in the Sanctuary after the service. Then we will meet with interested congregants on Sunday\, March 30 in Eliot Chapel. Our third meeting\, this time with parents from the learning community\, will be held on Sunday\, April 13 in the Daisy Bingham room. All of these meetings will be held at 11:45 a.m. There will also be a survey for people to fill out online. \nChildcare will be provided for all meetings.

SUMMARY:Winter All-Church Forum
DESCRIPTION:Join Rev. Alison and members of your Board of Trustees for a forum on January 26. Rev. Alison and Treasurer Roger Robinson will provide an update on the Annual Fund Drive and priorities for next year’s budget. \nThe Board will also introduce two proposed changes to the church’s bylaws. One will address privacy and security of our membership information; this follows the request last Fall by congregants to receive the member mailing list. The other will propose a reduction in the size of the Board from 12 members to 9; this follows an initial 2019 proposal by the board and subsequent research and deliberations. \nAll of this is in preparation for our annual congregational vote in May. Additional presentations will be provided to learn more about these important items are planned for March and April.
