The Caregiver Support Group usually meets monthly on the fourth Sunday of each month from 9:30 am – 10:45 a.m. from September through June. The group is a gathering of congregants and friends of First Unitarian who are caregivers – family members caring for a loved one at home, in a facility, or at a distance. Participants care for loved ones with dementia, cancer, and Parkinsons, among other chronic, debilitating conditions.

The group experience provides information, support, and inspiration to meet the challenges and cope with the ambiguity, stress, and changes associated with care giving. Through discussion and reflection we are able to identify how this work can be a part of our spiritual practice. The group is open to new members.
