Nicole Bowmer has been a member of the church staff since 2006. As a writer and activist, she brings a diverse background in environmental and social justice organizing. Nicole coordinates the programming for our middle and high school youth, and she is a trainer of facilitators for the Our Whole Lives (OWL) sexuality education curriculum. Nicole oversees the administration duties of the religious education department while also providing support to our volunteer teachers and curriculum enhancement activities for both children and youth programs. She is the co-author of Bless This House, a book of interviews and photographs which supports affordable housing options throughout Oregon. She is also co-author of Heeding the Call: Qualities of a Justice Maker, a youth curriculum published by the Unitarian Universalist Association. Nicole is a member of CWA Local 1034, the union of the facilities and administrative staff at First Unitarian Church.
