Art Wall
The Art Wall, located in Fuller Hall, showcases the work of local artists in order to expose congregants to a wide variety of art. It includes shows of varying mediums, style, and subject.
To be considered for the Art Wall, you are required to submit work to the Art Wall committee via slides or CDs. They choose work that is interesting/different and on a "professional level." All artists who show their work on the Art Wall are required to sign a contract agreeing that they will donate 25% of their sales to the church. To get in touch with the Art Wall committee, please contact the church office.
Currently on the Art Wall:
April - Sister Mary Bertoli and Tanja North
Sister Mary is an artist and teacher. Her collage pieces capture bright images in tissue paper. She will teach a workshop on creativity on April 26. Tanja's watercolors play on a tension between abstract patterns and natural objects. Her recent work centers on environmental themes.
Upcoming Shows:
May - Nikki Dilbeck
Nikki creates highly textured landscapes and nonrepresentational paintings. Unexpected colors invite the viewer to step closer, to see beyond the face of the painting and into the elements and ideas waiting to be discovered in it. Recently, her work has been in juried exhibtions in Corvallis and the Portland area.
June & July - Carol Barnett
Carol's watercolor and mixed media works are inspired by the Oregon landscape. A ten-year member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon, Carol has received awards in their shows and other exhibitions in the Portland area. Last year, the University of Oregon included one of her paintings in its permanent collection.
