Enjoy an annual celebration of writing, featuring delicious words and lyrical pies. While you enjoy a slice of blueberry, apple, chocolate, banana cream, or blackberry pie you can listen to the First Unitarian poets read their favorite works of the year. Coffee and tea will also be served. The poets reading include: Diane English, Vince Fitzgerald, Barry Green, Ann Holznagel, Teri Noesen, Cary Page, Lynn Thomas, James Savage, and Mary McGuire (accompanied by the piano). These writers have been meeting twice a month throughout the Church year to listen and respond to each others’ poetry. Come and be inspired. Donations are appreciated or bring a favorite book of poems; proceeds will help develop the Channing Library poetry collection. Thursday, Jun. 12, 7–9 p.m., Buchan Reception Room
