Mission: The Good Times Committee creates community within First Church by helping congregants and participants coordinate a variety of social events.

By coordinating a variety of smaller, social activities, the Good Times program helps congregants connect with others who share similar interests, and helps them develop a stronger sense of community. The welcoming, inclusive nature of these events fosters good will and new friendships. Good Times events can be energizing, engaging, thought-provoking, or just plain fun, but ultimately they help integrate all of us into the larger congregation.

• BIRDING WALK: Saturday, May 10, at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Details at the Good Times table. Coordinator: Margaret Bell.
• THIRD RAIL THEATER OUTING: Saturday, May 10, 8 p.m. See "Nobody Here But Us Chickens" at Interstate Firehouse, 5340 N Interstate. Coordinator: Jan Sumoge.
• WORD GAMES:  Sunday, May 11, 4-8 p.m. in Tigard. Join us for Scrabble, Quiddler, Taboo, and other exciting games as well as potluck supper.
• SECOND TUESDAY BOOK CLUB: Tuesday, May 13, 7 p.m. at the home of Lindsay Parks. Discuss Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton.
• TGIF: Friday, May 16, 5-7 p.m. at Hoppworks Urban Brewery, 2944 SE Powell. Coordinator: Mary Post.
• SONG CIRCLE: Friday, May 16, 7-9 p.m. at Friendly House, NW 26th & Thurman. Come over after TGIF. Coordinator: Jan Sumoge.
