8WS08 One Sunday 4/27/08
This fun and informative walking tour will cover our church’s history from our pioneer beginnings in 1866 to the present. We begin in and around our church buildings, stroll through the Park Blocks and into Downtown to visit sites important to our church’s story. You will learn about our early leaders and important milestones in our long history here in Portland. This tour is wheelchair accessible and is held rain or shine.
Facilitator: Kate Brickey is a First Church member and a long-time volunteer with Urban Tour Group. She gives walking tours of Portland’s history and architecture. One Sunday; 12:30–2 p.m.; Meet in the Narthex; $5 per person; $10 per family (2 adults and children 18 and under.)
