2WS08 Begins 5/1/08

Just what do you believe in and why? What gives meaning to your life? How have your life experiences affected your understanding of the universe? Have you ever had an experience of the sacred? These are a few of the questions that will be addressed to help us understand, develop and articulate our values. Participants will explore new formulations of religious meanings and define personal credos. Required reading: Build Your Own Theology by Richard Gilbert, available in our Beacon Bookstore in Fuller Hall. Facilitator: Rev. Marcia Schekel and Alex Salvador. Marcia is a UU minister and hospice chaplain. Alex is a freelance writer and activist, and is on the Church staff. Six Thursdays; 7–9 p.m.; Room B101; $35.
