PANDORA (a fox, not a box)

Children’s books often have great messages for adults as well as children.  Such is the case with “Pandora” by British author/illustrator Victoria Turnbull.

A fox named Pandora “fixes things”, including a bird with a broken wing – and a friendship is formed.  Pandora’s efforts to repair broken items in a throw-away world will inspire readers who may be discouraged by humankind’s negative effects on our planet.  The book can be read as a testament to friendship, a warning against careless treatment of the environment, and as an example of the power of hope.
