Living with Loss: How Will I Survive the Holidays?
While grief is difficult any time of year, holiday times can be the most challenging. Grieving a loss is doubly difficult as those around us prepare to celebrate. Holidays may not be the same, yet we offer hope that holidays can still be meaningful. This class will offer support through sharing information on the grief process, listening to your stories, suggesting ideas for holiday plans, and connecting with others.
Facilitators: Rev. Wendy Fish is a retired Unitarian Universalist minister who served two congregations and was a hospital chaplain. She is a member of First Unitarian Church. Kristin Guest is a lifelong UU, now a member of First Unitarian Church, who has survived significant deaths in her own life and currently co-facilitates an adult grief group at Portland’s Dougy Center.
