Nominating Committee

Ruth Lewellen-Dix, Chair

Mission: The Nominating Committee will annually identify candidates for the Board of Trustees and the Nominating Committee by inviting referrals, conducting interviews, and supporting leadership development, so that the church will maintain leadership which provides diverse, relevant talents and capabilities in support of our church mission and ends.

This committee is responsible for selecting a slate of candidates for open positions on the Board of Trustees and the Nominating Committee. These names are presented to the Trustees approximately 60 days proir to the First Church Annual Meeting (May 18, 2008).

In keeping with the current bylaws, other church members who would like to run for membership on the Board of Trustees or the Nominating Committee may petition to become candidates. Petition forms are available in the Nominating Committee information holder in Fuller Hall; or by calling the church office; or by clicking on the link below. The completed petition with 56 names (5% of the 1,114 voting membership) must be filed with the Nominating Committee by Friday, April 18, 2008 to be included on the ballot at the 2008 Annual Meeting.

To contact the Nominating Committee, please call the church office.
